Weather & wall mode
At home on your wall. Or in your hand.
Your local weather
See the temperature in Fahrenheit, the current condition and the area used for the weather.
Allow location access for better accuracy. If unavailable, approximate IP location is used. Open-Meteo supplies local weather; a connected Home Assistant weather entity takes priority on the dashboard. Weather follows the viewing device, not a separate street address for each location.
Seven days, a tap away
Tap the temperature to expand the forecast over your dashboard, rather than opening another page.
Review available hourly and seven-day forecast details in a scrollable panel. Weather and forecast availability depend on the source and connection.
A sky that changes with the day
Cloud motion and weather effects follow current conditions, with daylight and nighttime skies.
The daytime sun and phase-aware nighttime moon follow the sky’s time and conditions. This is a visual weather backdrop, not a live camera or precision astronomy tool.
Wall mode
Enter a distraction-light view with a fullscreen request and an ambient clock when idle.
Where supported, Hearthlight requests a screen wake lock while the page is active. Browsers and operating systems can deny or release it; wall mode cannot override every screen-sleep setting.
Add it to your home screen
Open Hearthlight as an installed web app on supported phones and tablets.
On iPhone or iPad, open the site in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android or desktop Chrome, look for Install app or Add to Home screen in the browser menu. Names vary by browser.
Connected, not offline
Your dashboard is designed for an active internet and Home Assistant connection.
Installation gives you a convenient app-like window; it does not make device control, weather, sign-in or spoken replies available offline.
Ready for your first location?
